Whimsical yet tough, unpredictable yet undeniably catchy, this Nordic trio has wowed audiences from the Arctic Circle to Athens. Pop-rock with unusual vocal lines and harmonies mixed with a continually percolating rhythm section and punctuated with distinctive guitar lines. Their debut album “Radiation Refill” is due out April 4th 2008, and the first single “Felix” tells the story of Maika’s namesake, an outer-space heroine from a cult 1970s Czechoslovakian children’s show. Quite a reach for a twenty-first century Norwegian band, but with Maika it all winds up making perfect sense.
