Based on the book by Nobel Laureate Elie Wiesel, the oratorio was recorded at the Salle Bulgaria by the Bulgarian National Symphony Orchestra and Chorus under the baton of Joshua R. Jacobson. Souls On Fire features a stunning narration by acclaimed actor, director, producer, author and scholar Leonard Nimoy, who tells the stories of key Hasidic historical figures. In addition, Osborne has written a purely orchestral version that allows the music to do the talking, with strikingly poignant results. Performed by the Bulgarian National Symphony and conducted by Metodi Matakiev, Souls Symphony will be released in early 2001.
